Took my son Chance trout fishing for the first time and we had a ball with him catching his first rainbow. Saturday the water was running pretty hard so we went up and strarted at the cable throwing small crankbaits and the fish loved them with a beautiful male that was 18 3/4 inches that made his day and mine. We caught at least 30 with many 2 to 2 1/2 lbers WOW what a day the Lord blessed us with but Sunday was another wonderful day in large part due to Duane Doty and his vast knowledge and I owe him a debt of gratitude as he helped my son and I have a great bonding weekend. Thank you so much Duane you are truly a professional and a gentleman. Respectfully, Pete

Could not agree with more about your comments about @duckydoty! A great and generous guide and fisherman!

Glad to hear you guys had success.  I hope your son continues to enjoy fishing.   Duane is a heck of a nice guy.   The world needs more.

I always remember going to Taney as a Kid. Branson was about 300 people. One theater no food allowed. Always remember the smells and the fog.

Nice to teach a Kid fishing, glad he had fun.

I remember when Branson only had one flashing red light in town  and the only grocery store was a Piggly Wggly

If I look around I have pictures back in the’50’s. Remember going to Silver Dollar City to me it was more fun than now but kids are different and it is more about money.

We had Tickets for two days but couldn’t handle one day.

Use to fish Taney it was different but know people catch Ice Chest full no way Hatchery could keep up with that.

I went to Cooper Creek dock caught some. Cooked them up and tasted the same as out of the river so why drive 100 miles one way

We are burnt out on the shows so they are out. I thought go down for Christmas Lights but was told we wouldn’t enjoy ourselves.

Anymore like to stay in Forsyth.

Taney and Branson to me is a good place to take kids for awhile.
