8 May – 30 November: Regulate to 12 feet except, regulate to 14 feet from 15 May through 30 November if the 4-lake system flood storage exceeds 70% full."

That would be flood gates. 8 FULL units is roughly 24,000

it won’t be a numbers deal, but we will burn a bunch of gas and catch some big brown trout.

The White where I live with Flood Gates open is UNSAFE. I’m not sure here you could launch, but IMO it isn’t worth rolling the dice on your life. 

Did you actually see Bull Shoals Dam or Norfork Dam with the Flood Gates open?

Yes I have on both but didn’t get to fish it.  I have fished it on Taney when they were running full bore.  Even drove 4 hours to do it.  But I know bull is way bigger and norfork is way narrower.  
 

What’ s your plan?

See how much water they are running and adjust. 

IF they are running more than 15K, I will likely throw more jerk baits than jigs.

Are we talking releases that are similar to what flooded quarry park and wiped out genes?  If so I’m out.
