Quillback Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 This year there was a strain of flu the vaccine did not cover. And I don't know that in any year the shots cover 100% against all the strains out there. But since I get them for free, and don't have any reaction to them, I go ahead and get one. When I say free, it's free because of the health insurance I have which is definitely not free. snagged in outlet 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 I got the flu shot this and got type A. I get the shot every year. My company provides them free. They provide full health, eye, dental and short term disability for every employee free to employee. We’ve retained a bunch of employees who wanted to leave after we compared our pay and benefits package to wherever they thought they wanted to go Quillback 1
Terrierman Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 I get a flu shot every year early in the season. Can't remember the last time if ever I have had honest to gosh influenza. I'm sure that working around wastewater most of my life and having the habit of washing my hands often and in general being a little bit of a hygiene freak as a result of my work life didn't hurt. This little virus hiccup we're all living through is going to change a lot of people's lives for the better (disease wise) once it's over due to people paying more attention to how diseases are transmitted.

Never Had the Flu shot and can hardly ever remember having it.. Maybe once where I had a fever and ached... Sometimes I think its because we didnt have much money growing up to see a doctor and you just muscled through it.. Guessing my Immune system is pretty good but as I get older..Approaching the Double Nickle I may consider that little extra help gotmuddy 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 I had type A this year and I think it’s the first time I’ve ever had the flu. 59 years old. The rest were colds I think. The body ache (pain) was really bad. Couldn’t sleep.
