ollie Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 It is getting really close. Water temps are almost there. I was at 10C yesterday and didn't see anyone with fish, but I have seen a few pics here and there that some people are hitting them. They have somewhat started from what I have seen, but not full blown yet. Give it a couple of weeks and then hold on! Bgctrading Posted February 26, 2021 Author Posted February 26, 2021 It's about time to get this thread going again. I hope this year is better than last year. BilletHead 1

curtisce Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Put in around 9:30 at Twin Bridges. The parking lot was about full Went up Spring. Water is lightly stained not clear but not muddy. WT 50. Tried several spots without success. Got up near to 10 bridge. Started back down ran into a group of boat saw a few fish being caught. Stopped and took part. Quickly landed 4 and thought I was going to slay them rest of the day. Then it stopped for me other kept catching. 7 for me. 3 sows. Also snagged 2 nice gar in the morning. 1 kitty and 1 drum to round it out. Ham, FishnDave and ollie 3 The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

ollie Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Nice. My feeds are starting to show people catching them, but it isn't consistent yet. I know the water temps are climbing steadily so it shouldn't be a whole lot longer until it is on fire. curtisce Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Hope rain next week gives it a little bump and doesn't blow it out The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check
Bgctrading Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 I heard several are catching today. They have not moved all the way up though
Members Ranger Dave Posted March 10, 2021 Members Posted March 10, 2021 I went fishing on Tuesday, March 9. We did really well. We caught about 45 but only kept 34. They were really nice size. The largest was 17" but most were around 15". The ones we threw back were about 10". I normally would have kept the smaller ones but the 10 inch fish look rather small when you are catching 15 inchers. We tried jigs but did the best on flicker shads. Most people were going way up river and there were about 6 boats just north of the floating docks. I don't know why they were there. I didn't catch much in this area and I didn't see anyone else catching there either. We fished from the irrigation pump all the way to the floating cabins. We never found any one place that had them really stacked up. BilletHead 1
