oneshot 1 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I bought my Trout Permit on my Phone yesterday. They took the money out of my Account but it is not showing up on my Phone. Did I do something wrong? I have been known to. Used this App every since they started with no problem. oneshot
moguy1973 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Try closing the app and reopening. My permit showed up right after I bought it the other day. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Thanks I got mine yesterday. Almost forgot.
fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Why did the trout tags take a $3 hike this year? Is that to cover the gas for the stupid urban trout program ?

From the posts on FB the urban trout are well above pan size. Alot of 2-3 pounders. Why can't the white ribbon areas get a fair number of those?
tjm Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 It's been tossed around for a couple three years and I've seen a couple poll things asking about higher tags vs fewer trout vs higher limit vs smaller size; been a while since I read about it but I believe the public input (probably by non fishing people) favored higher limits with smaller fish and increased fees to keep the same/more numbers. Also some keeping up with the neighbors, it's always brought up how much the neighboring states charge. The urban program is gonna get all the resources it takes, for as long as it takes, long range goal is to recruit those inner city kids into becoming part of MDC so the agency is a reflection of the state's population. Currently not many of those kids go on to become wildlife biologists or fisheries managers etc. or I should say that's my guess.

We don't need 8500 biologists and 6700 fisheries managers in this state. About 20 of each should be able to handle it. I'm 100% opposed to the way the MDC thinks. Show me ONE dedicated trout fisherman that cut his teeth by first catching a trout in a Missouri bass pond. If it's truly a "recruitment effort" then it is the stupidest one ever. Smalliebigs 1
