ollie Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 This thing needs to run its course and fast! Who else has noticed way more people out on the water than normal? My wife gave me the green light to go fishing on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and everywhere I went I encountered more than usual crowds. Social distancing my arse! Places that I go to and only see maybe a couple of people I am seeing double to triple the amount of people! Lots of people taking the kids out since schools are cancelled and every Joe Blow out there that didn't have a license is now out on the water! I was just amazed at how many people were out and around. I guess people are getting tired of staying home. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

fishinwrench Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 It was mayhem down at the ramp over the weekend. Busted props and skegs galore, and one boat completely sunk in the time it took the guy to park his truck. ollie, Quillback and snagged in outlet 3 2 1
jdmidwest Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Wappapello was unusually busy Sunday too. River in flood stage, and falling, pure mud, with a cold front just blowed thru. Cuz did catch a couple of bass in the back water on a shad rap while I was messing with the boat. I tried to fish some, but did not put forth much effort in it. fishinwrench 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

No speed demon, but enough power to pull up on a riffle. Hard to say how shallow it could run. St Francois was up a few feet and pumping mud. snagged in outlet 3 and wily 2 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

If not I think you should go up a bit anyway. At least to where the leading edge of the intake is level with the hull. Seriously. If you clip a rock with the forward side of that intake you're gonna break something or knock the motor off the transom. BilletHead 1
