You're just ignoring simple logic IMO. I'm done discussing it with you if you're gonna be that dense about it.

I do wish I had LiveScope to see if I could target some of the larger bass in a local 180 acre lake that I fish. I've heard of guys in similar sized lakes catching larger than average bass suspended well off the bank and using Live Scope to put spinnerbait or swimbait right in their face. I know once the spawn is done in my local lake, it's about impossible to catch anything over 3 lbs. You can catch some good fish up fairly shallow during prespawn so they are in there. I've scanned a big portion of the lake and haven't really been able to get one deep fish in the warm months though. Those suspended fish just don't wanna bite, even when there are giant schools of shad nearby. I assume they go on sporadic feeding sprees like white bass and stripers do....but unless you just happened to hit them during one of those 10 minute windows I'm thinking they'd be easier to snag than to coax them into biting.
Members Topwalker Posted April 21, 2020 Members Posted April 21, 2020 I guess you want me to say sorry because I know somthing about fish behavior and movement? They are very inactive alot of times they do feed in short burst though out the day. I still dont think this would make them easy to snap because they still swim around alot within the school. Yes nick ault has posted video of snagging spoonbill which is perfectly legal but it even take him a bit with a giant hook to snag a 30+ lb spoonbill that isnt moving until I see it happen with bass I dont think it's an issue I'm going to be worried about

No I'm sorry that you don't know more! If you knew more about bass behavior and movement then you would be just as opposed to all the bass relocation going on as I am. tjm 1
Members Topwalker Posted April 21, 2020 Members Posted April 21, 2020 I'm going fishing the next 2 days I'll be sure to stick around the release areas so I have a chance to catch somthing 🙃🤣🤣👍

If watch you MLF then you will see a lot of fish are caught by ramps, marinas and campgrounds. The new show Saturday was won on a ramp area. Over and over you see see ramps in the background of the best in the world while boating a fish Isn’t the launch area off limits at a bunch of these tourneys? Like BBB at PB2?
Members Topwalker Posted April 22, 2020 Members Posted April 22, 2020 This is one I will agree with you on but pb2 is a different animal Stockton doenst have the amount of tournennts go out of it in a month what pb2 does in a week and they get more boats Stockton has 3 different places usually old state park, state park and ruark and somtimes rb but all the major tourneys take out of pb2 and alot of 25 to 50 boat events throught the week without release boats this is one where I will say pb2 is way over populated but that is a totally different scenario than stockton

Using our wildlife to score rediculous games for your enjoyment is going to come to an end sooner than you think, so I'm advising y'all to take the initiative to make some smart changes on your own..... so that changes that you don't want can be sidestepped and avoided. If your position is to just stand on your guns and pound your right to shuffle fish around with no limit whatsoever as to how often you can do it.....Good Luck! You're gonna lose. 👍 rumrunner 1
olfishead Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Wow! maybe you bass anglers should just go ahead and put them in grease so you won't have to over- populate an area. 🤣 Interesting disussion.!
