I bought one a couple weeks ago and have only had it out once at pomme. So I am sure I don't know how to use it yet but the beam is so narrow I had a hard keeping it looking at anything.

IT takes a few trips to dial it in especially if its mounted on the troller.   Most the those videos online are mounted on a pole with absolutely no wind, I dont get to caught up in seeing my jig or bait, more about scanning finding brush,  stick ups, and schools of shad to throw to

I saw you today, i was in the Pro Craft that didnt want to start, then i fired it up and i tried to haul out and get to the ramp. Left the troller down like an idiot in a hurry and got a good splash.  Made it back and talked to wrench a little bit, i think i may have it figured out

I caught a good smallmouth on the dock next to the one with the crappie structure

so, a 12 garmin with panoptics is about $4000.00?!!

Last month a 9 inch Garmin was on sale and probably still is somewhere for $599.00 . The Panoptix Livescope  was $1400.00. With a $200.00 rebate. So if you were ok with the smaller Garmin. I could put the whole thing together for around... hang on why I cipher my knots...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................$1800.00. Remember it's a hobby, not an investment. Unless your a guide I guess.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

That's what I tell the waitress in a restaurant if she asks me how my meal was and it was just OK but could have been way better.  I say, " OH, It was just  fine,"    And, it is, and these for most people are toys.  it is like buying Bushnell Bino's verse Steiner or Swarovski, you can see a long way with the Bushnell but you can see a long way better with the others.

It's about is fine, good or ok good enough, if so there you go.
