jdmidwest Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I just stood in the back yard and pee'd, hope they got a thrill. Neighbor frowned at me, but I don't really like him and his dogs. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Gavin Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Saw it a couple months ago, space junk. I have no idea how they intend to retrieve all those disposable satellites.

They don’t have to. They will burn up in the atmosphere when they fall out of orbit. Well that’s the plan anyway.

fishinwrench Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 If I understand correctly they are only 60 miles up. Once they are all up there I assume we'll see them cris-crossing around up there. Probably make it hard to pick out the constellations....which is kinda sad. Are future kids going to understand STARS ? 🤔 Terrierman 1
Gavin Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Said 340 miles, and they are bright...supposedly working on the light pollution problem. To easy to spot. I don't want to see Space X junk in the sky. High Satellites are hard to spot in CONUS, but you can see incredible stars in the middle of the pacific ocean. So much light pollution here. I like to star gaze, and this does not add to the experience. My stargazing will be filled with blinking gizmo's so some person in Bangladesh can get high speed porn access? fishinwrench 1

Was one of the coolest looking things I've ever seen.
