Making a strong case for having and using a boat slip.  That said, I have taken Bill B. advice about being stuck at the lower end in a slip and not trailering to a more productive areas of the lake particularly in the earlier part of the year.  So I have a new Ranger Z519 being built.  I hope I can learn to trailer, back up, and launch better so that I do not add to the "circus".

So now y'all have switched gears from Wake-boat hate to Pontoon hate !  I'm reduced to having to fish out of a toon ( which ain't fun ) due to balance issues caused by unending Chemo-induced neuropathy in my feet and have seen some totally impolite, clueless morons driving and "fishing" from Bass Boats that obviously have more money than brains and that don't have a clue on the water or at the ramps.  Yeah, it's not fun "puttering around " at only 35 mph when I used to run a safe 72 mph (per GPS) but it's all the barge will run.

Missouri law requires all motorized boat and PWC operators born after January 1, 1984, to pass a boater safety course and to carry a boater education card.  That would be anybody over about 36.  My youngest daughter took the course and series of test last year - it took hours.  How many 36 year olds were on the lake yesterday without this license?   I would say most if not all.

And ya know I WAS in a pretty good mood what with the trip coming up and all but then all this talk about boat traffic, boat wakes, boat drivers, boat trailers and boats in general has started to become a little annoying.

Hence the tornado warning which is pretty much just kind of a warning in general.....

I'd tread lightly and be on my best behavior if I was you guys.....
