I don't particularly enjoy fishing out of them, so they mainly just sit in my garage and don't get used year after year. But I feel like they might be perfect some Missouri streams so wanted to ask about them Also the fact I have two means I'm ready to take a friend and have a put in/take out shuttle arrangement so that's nice You would have to walk every riffle and a lot of the holes aint very deep. If you like to hike they would be perfect. Flysmallie and Terrierman 2

Al Agnew Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Nope, not didymo. It's a typical algae for some of the clearer creeks. See it a lot on upper Black River as well. It never gets too overgrown. Mitch f and snagged in outlet 3 2
jdmidwest Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 That just came to mind after a trip to 11 PT a few weeks back. The boot cleaning station was dry and not being used. Another knee jerk reaction blown out of proportion. snagged in outlet 3 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Should just let us go back to felt soles too.
Members Orey10m Posted June 24, 2020 Author Members Posted June 24, 2020 Do any of you know about Indian River canoes? I think the 12ft tunnel hull would be what I’m looking for my next boat to be, to replace my kayak and the other small boat I’ve mentioned in this thread. http://www.indianrivercanoes.com/otter.htm I think they’re mainly out of Florida so would be hard to find one in Missouri. Is there any boat manufacturers making similar stable small canoes?
ColdWaterFshr Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Never have paddled one of those, but looking at the specs -- looks quite heavy @ 70 lbs for just a 12 foot canoe. Probably better suited as a small lake or pond boat. Old Town, Wenonah, Buffalo . . . those are the brands I would be looking at.
