That Beast is Amazing. It ought to be as stable as a living room. I’m not surprised that it will float and run shallow.

my 2052 is night and day different from a 2042. I would imagine a 2072 is head and shoulders above the 2052. It has to be crazy stable and shallow drafting.

That boat is a one of a kind for sure, but I can be 2060 size with a 90/60 jet becoming more common. 150 HP is more motor than I want, but that’s ok too. Is the output 115 at the Jet ?

I ran a 60” bottom Topwater and it was great. The 60/40 is fine, but I wanted more power for 4 guys or long runs. Fuel storage was a problem in that boat as well. For me, 6gal wasn’t adequate. I originally wanted a Mercury 115/80 but along the way found this 150 -which is 105 at the jet. It was only a 50lb penalty to go up in power so I took it lol. Don’t plan on running it wide open in the white, but it’ll see full throttle a lot duck hunting. Guess I just didn’t want to end up short of power. 
 

ps: around other boats I’ll jus operate at standard river boat speed ie. 20-25mph. Fishing the Norfork  yesterday I felt a few sets of eyes “shaming” me lol.

I've found on the White and Norfork they practice the "you are responsible for your wake" more so than on Taney.   Then somebody blows by me without concern.  I personally would rather have them just go by on plane.  But if you do it you never what the next guy will think if you do.

That's what I do.  And if you get the same few boats doing the same drift and everybody does it, it just makes it better.  My boat throws a bigger wake when I slow down than if I buzz right by and give them a wide birth.  Now on the Meramec...  Nobody slows down.:)

The design of the boat looks great.

It's hard to see in your picture but did you do a tunnel in the hull? That is one thing that is missing on most river boats up here. I had a shallow water flats boats on the Laguna Madre in South Texas and they all had tunnel hulls with the Bob's hydraulic jack plate. The jack plate is great as you can raise it going over shallow areas and lower it back down when you need to. I am surprised I don't see them up here. Great idea on the airboat bottom covering. I had a friend that had an airboat in Port Aransas Texas we used to run over oyster beds, sandbars and whatever else to get some to our duck blinds.
