Almost thought that you were going beyond PG-13 with the double entendre.

Oh what are you thinking. I have screwed so much I have a pile of those torx bits! I am now wondering just how many? Actually I will gather and count this afternoon when I get home. These are the ones Ham spoke of that come in screw boxes.

Boy that will be a bunch of screwing. Will almost screw yourself to death. I agree that is the way to go. Screwing can pull down and straighten some crooked boards. Torx heads for sure. Hope you can find lumber. Shelves are pretty empty.  Have fun and good luck. Nice to have a project to keep yourself busy.

I didn’t think about lumber and I know you’re right about it being scarcest.

What I have found to is you almost have to get stuff at the same place or it don’t match.

If you find enough at one place get extra. Our lumbar yard (home base)  will take back what you don't use.

We just finished up a “she shed” for my wife.  We could barely get the lumber that we needed.  There were no 4x4s to be had either treated or untreated. We checked from Mansfield to Neosho and from Bolivar to Branson.  We had to wind up paying exorbitant prices and get cedar.

Treated Lumber is scarce everywhere. The little short torx bits that come with the boxes of screws usually get tossed into a bucket at my house, I buy the recessed  bits for impact drivers, I get insanely mad for some reason when one of the little short bits comes out of the holder then drops into someplace I cannot get to without climbing down or under something.  It's just one of those things that sets me off, sort of lie getting the screws mixed in my pouch as I will always find that one that is too short or turns out to be a combo head or some such thing.  When you are helping someone else and using their screws sometimes you switch from phillips to square to torx and back based on what they have.  I pity the poor sucker that ever has to take some of it apart, sure hope it ain't me again.

Ok told you all I like screwing. My preferred building attachment. Not just for deck building. Keeps me from having several styles of screws. Just a few lengths. They can be removed and used again. So here you go @Ham  48 and this doesn't include tips I have lost or that are in tool bags.thumbnail_0723201649_HDR.jpg
