Won’t be me on the sticks. That’s exactly where I was at, in the bear trap. I haven’t been there in a decade but don’t remember current being too bad. Man wish I was there now, minus the snakes of course. Snakes freak me out!
Members slosh Posted August 12, 2020 Members Posted August 12, 2020 The only place I've seen a rattlesnake in the wild was the same area a few years ago - on the katy south of 40/61. We rode our bikes our to Defiance and had to hightail it back before it got dark. We saw a copperhead and a rattlesnake on the katy between between the Weldon Access and the hwy 40 bridge. I stopped and we got close to the rattlesnake. Told my 7 or 8 year old daughter at the time how lucky she was to see one so young. There's a healthy population behind Six Flags. Know of quite a few folks who have jumped over them while trail running. That'll put a little more pep in your step!

I’ve seen hundreds of non poisonous snakes. Ran over a ground hog too. laker67 1

I have a Jamis Coda Elite that I like a lot. And a Felt 29'er that I changed the suspension fork to a steel Surly fork. They're both good bikes. The Felt is much better off pavement, and the Coda is much better on pavement. Looked for a pic of the Coda but could not find one handy. But this is the Felt in it's current configuration.
