Porta pottys for each sex would be a good investment of our tax dollars below TRD. Heck I don't care if its coin operated to reclaim their expenses of cleaning and rental. "one size fits all" huh. I think they could come up with a sign that might isolate one from the other.

I too hope they figured this out.  Had my daughter down there the other night and had to explain what a pop a squat was... after getting a few feet from the boat launch port a potty she decided to hold it until we got back to condo...

Much easier for us guys, but def feel sorry for the ladies...

Reminds me of old friend Danny who got in a Porta-Potty one opening day at Roaring River. The only problem was he didn't have his Powell fly rod inside the door when he let the door spring closed. Took the upper 6" off his expensive rod. Got it fixed and a couple years later, his nephew rolled it up in the car door window!

Some one figured they could save some money by shutting down the bathrooms.To bad their mother doesn't need to use it.I had my wife ,daughter and grandson down over the weekend and no bathroom facilities,pretty sad to say the least.

Seriously the local guys aren't going to be authorized to spend money, every dime comes out of Jeff City and the head gal.

They need Portapots at every access for both  all sexes and a pit for the dang pets, feces and urine are nasty no matter what sex leaves them there. Call Sara Parker Pauley

Sara not only runs MDC, she is female so can judge whether they have any "special need".

                       I totally agree this is a bad deal!

  I ran upon one of my own today. I have been using this ramp for many, many years. It is on Truman lake.   I remember when this lake was put in and this ramp had a dumpster, dawn to dusk light and a nice restroom. Back then there was one for the men and women. Soon the dumpster disappeared. I kind of understood that as it was very abused. Then light and restroom vanished. So this brought toilet paper and crap in the surrounding brush and timber. Not only toilet paper but anything that could be used to wipe the rear and some of that did not disintegrate.  A few years back  another unisex pit toilet was installed. A nice one of you could call a pit toilet nice. Concrete and it even had a urinal so the seat did not get trashed. Concrete walkway to the thing from the asphalt.   I decide to run up the river this morning.  Right in front of the truck it is gone. All of it. Area worked over and wheat straw on the place. This is a very, very busy ramp. When crappie, white bass and snagging is hot the ramp is over flowed with rigs and even spread out on the highway. I a couple times could not find a place to park safe and turned back home. i called a friend who said it was there a month ago. There is already messes of crap all around the place where I parked this morning.  When I left there were five other rigs in the lot and it is the time of the year when fishing can be crappy no pun intended! So to our corps liaison @MOPanfisher   What the heck is going on?  Can you tell us what you know? There is no other ramp in this area with facilities for people to use. One by 20 river miles but with a pit toilet but it is on a conservation area ramp. For all I know it could be gone too/

     This place will soon be a nasty mess of a place  .
