Brought this up me and my Sister was taking about some Country Singers going left to sell their music.

I'm very set in my beliefs and ways. Not saying I agree but will let someone know how I feel, lets be friends and don't bring it up again. Some people say I believe this so I don't want to associate with you. I'm like fine you don't know what you're missing.

My in-laws are intimidated by me.  They are kinda phoney and like to play head games.  They have figured out that they can't control me, so they just pretend to like me because I have given them no reason to disrespect me.  My FIL is so incredibly puzzy whipped that he can't do anything without momma's consent.  She has this look that she gives him when she notices that he is having too much fun doing something that HE wants to do.....and as soon as he catches "the look" he snaps out of it immediately and goes back to brown-nosing.   This absolutely drives me crazy, and I have tried to talk to him one on one but he is too scared to open up.  Afraid that I'll tell Sugarbritches and then she might relay the info to you know who.  He has a massive gun collection (she actually buys him guns) but he never gets to shoot them.   He wants to build a racecar too, and has all the tools to do it ....but that'll NEVER happen.

Momma is out of town for two weeks right now.... but he can't go fishing, go trap shooting/target shooting or anything.  His instructions are to stay home, feed the dogs, and he'd better answer the phone on the second ring without fail.

The dude has been brainwashed and scared of his wife for 40+ years.    In case you're wondering, her daughter is nothing like that AT ALL.   But my brother in-law is 100% a slave to his wife in the same exact fashion.   I can get away with teasing him about being a stepford husband though, and I do it quite often.  I rail on his wife about it too, but she just thinks I'm "being cute".    I ain't being cute, I'm serious. 😎

Me either.   And the really twisted part is that my BIL wasn't happy until he found a woman that would treat him just like momma treated dad.    He pouts about it all the time, and they have no children so he could tell her to go fly a kite if he wanted to.   Pretty sure he's stuck for life though.  Deep down he probably has a need for it.

Why would anyone deprive someone of something that like to do?

The need to control.

For some, controlling others is their favorite sport.  And for others, being controlled is their comfort zone. They never have to worry about making a bad decision because all decisions are made for them.

I even heard one of these men ask his wife .... "Do you think we should stop and get gas?"

I was like....Are you freakin' kidding me right now?
