Good reminder 👍

I had a chimney fire once, that was a real eye opener.   Fire and sparks were blowing out of there like a jet turbine.  Scary!

That job should be done as soon as you quit burning for the season.  It will get cleaner and clean up essier.

True but most don't. I went by a House once the Cap had a little hole for the smoke to come out.

Most burn wood soon as they cut it around here. I try to have a Big pile but with my health my Son cut most ours last year and it didn't burn like I wanted.

I got bunch of down trees behind the house I'm going to try to cut up this Winter. We have plenty of Propane but Firewood is cheaper and I need the exercise.

In the long run Propane is much cheaper.  Not sure how you can cut, split, stack haul firewood in your shape.  Silly.  Exercise other ways.(fish, walk the hills around the park...)   Be safe.

Well that is one problem I can't walk any distance. I have a Hydraulic Splitter and trees are around the house. It is harder and takes more time but I can cut.

We already have enough Propane paid for to do all Winter if needed.

Like I told my Sister two Legs and one Arm messed up makes it interesting getting out of a Chair.

I like getting up on my roof once. Had I cleaned spring of 2019 then fall of 2019 I would have been in bad shape as birds plugged my chimney majorly during the summer. I found it in fall cleaning right before first burn. Wouldn't have burned the house down or anything but would have puked smoke and started a fire in stove pipe.

Got my Son cleaning mine. Got a Screened Cap on our Fireplace and it is easy to clean.

Got a Head for my Splitter that splits our Wood into 4 pieces, pretty small but better for me and my wife.

I can Split Wood with a Maul but not real good with one Arm.
