Last Friday I awoke to a sore throat.  It stayed with me a couple of days and by Sunday had turned into a dry cough, but not a real bad cough.  Since Monday I've had some congestion and a bit of a cough.  However I haven't felt really sick, it's been more of an annoyance than anything.

Of course I had to wonder if maybe I had a mild case of COVID, so yesterday I drove over to a nearby clinic that does walk in COVID testing and today i got the results back and I tested negative.  So I guess it was just a cold.

First time I've been sick in about 10 years and in spite of wearing the mask when out in public, frequent hand washing with sanitizer and minimal contact with people I still got a virus.  Just wasn't the one.

Unless the test is wrong.... nah, that could never happen.  😄

On the local news a couple of days ago they reported they tested the inmates and staff at the Benton CO jail.  50 inmates and 5 staff tested positive - not a one had any symptoms.

That seems typical of jails, early on the big pens were all hotspots of positive tests.  Those fashion masks just keep us from sucking our thumbs and spitting, not from breathing in germs.

Does it make you wish you had “it” since it wasn’t too bad and you’d be over?

Everyday I hear about “it” I almost chuckle now. Everyday the death rate percentage numbers drop. No, I don’t want to get it and I still wear a mask. But it has spawned a new group of Karens, and mask police. I’m so tired of this crap.

Similar thing here. Up and down last week. Stuffy head, tired feeling but no cough or fever. Can’t help but wonder, but also know there’s a zillion other things it could be.

The Mrs is a teacher and she’s exposed to a lot of kids daily. They take A lot of precautions there, and we take them here too, but you never know. We’re still learning.

Everybody’s tired of it.

I can’t chuckle about a declining death rate.

I’m chuckling about the overblown hysteria. Churches aren’t open, kids can’t go to school...it’s gotten so crazy. The death rate percentage is so low now and  dropping everyday. So what is the death rate percentage that you’ve heard?

I’m of the opinion that we’re still learning and I’m keeping an open mind.

On top of that I go to work as a contractor at different shops everyday. In this whole year so far, I’ve only heard of one person who’s had it...and it was the wife of one of their employees. Something just smells to high heaven.

Couple more iterations and this thread will get banished to the rubber room. 😄
