fishinwrench Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Come look, discuss the options, and make an offer. Owner is closing on a new house and just wants to unload it. JestersHK 1

So considering the cost of a piston, a port cylinder head, and the price of boring/sleeving the #6 cylinder, my recommendation would be to just purchase a reman powerhead....and then sell the crankshaft and connecting rods (they sell fast). You can then use THAT money to put a better trolling motor on the boat and give that dinosaur Motorguide to some poor basturd that needs one. It comes with 2 Helix 7 units (front and back). I know what they'll accept as an offer......but I'm not posting it on here because I don't want y'all showing up at the same time and fighting over it in my front yard. 😉 Hint:. I wouldn't post it on here if it wasn't a really sweet opportunity. I just want the powerhead swap job out of this deal. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Dutch Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 I told a neighbor about it. He was wondering what it would cost to get the power head and have it installed.

It can be rebuilt for 3800.00 + the cost of a cylinder head (NLA from Mercury....but they are out there used and good as new). A replacement powerhead is 4712.00 + 1260.00 to swap it out.....unless you wanna do it yourself. Those are MY prices. Feel free to shop around, my feelings won't be hurt. SN is: OT632048 2003 200 EFI
Dutch Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Thanks for the info. I will tell him. I can’t imagine that he is mechanic enough to do that. If he wants to see it in person I will get back to you.

I tossed the idea around of buying it myself and making ANOTHER winter project out of it.....but I'm on the verge of overextending myself with winter projects. Plus I don't know much about ProCraft boats. Seems solid and apparently it's fast and pretty safe because he was cooking along at 66 mph on Bull Shoals when it melted down, and he had his wife with him. 😎
Dutch Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Pro Craft was a good mid line boat that was taking a chunk out of the Nitro market thus bought out and closed down like so many others. One of my buds has an 01 18’ with. 175. It is a really nice boat. fishinwrench 1
