52) Freshwater Drum :  I was hosted by Les yesterday in Waldo's sister boat Gracee. @BilletHead was close by in his boat with his better half Pat.
we found a lot more than a few willing biters.
my hands are destroyed.

Ill let them speak to location or not, but man, I wish I could fish there more often.

Don't know where you were Ham, but I'll give up my top drum location.  Pomme de Terre Lake, Lindley arm.  Drum capitol of the Ozarks!

The Pomme arm isn't too shabby either.

(FND14) Black Bullhead:

Went out for an hour last night in the drizzle, caught 4 bullheads by sightfishing muddy water with a fly rod.

Big wide head on this one:

This marked my 30th fly rod species in Missouri since moving last mid-July.  9 months.  Not bad, especially considering this period included the Winter months!

In ~15 years of flyfishing in Iowa, to the best of my recollection, I managed 38 species in-state.

Without going Micro, my list of possibilities is growing shorter.  Fish still on the "would love to catch on a fly here" list include:

Longnose Gar

Rock Bass

Blue Catfish

Hybrid Striped Bass

Bowfin

Warmouth

Redspotted Sunfish

Chain Pickerel

Flier

Brown Trout

I'm sure there are others I could go after as well...various suckers, bigmouth buffalo, smallmouth buffalo, black crappie, flathead catfish, muskie...

I haven't set any deadlines, so I'm in no hurry.

Rock Bass is probably the easiest on the list, you suppose?  Or at least requires the least travel?

You never know what will happen in that place or what will take your fly :)

34.5 inches long. What a deal. Need to start taking a bigger net!
