JF #75 Black Bullhead, Threequarters thewaytherfish

Thanks to @FishnDave for the intel that led to catching this Lifer!

Lifer Black Bullhead? Wow, location is key. I'm still looking for Lifer Brown Bullhead and you kinda take those for granted since you've got spots nailed down.

Livie #65 Redspotted Sunfish, Lepomis frustrationus

The area where I have caught the every other time was dirty with little water movement and they just weren't there this time. Had to find them elsewhere in the pond. It took Livie awhile to catch this fish and culled through a number of bluegill to land it.

John and I got to spend a little time on the water. It was a micro trip in multiple ways.
fairly productive for John, but I'll let him detail that out.
I hope one day we live within 6 hours of each other again.

Goldfish spurned all attempts to catch one no matter what we threw at them. So it all balanced out in the end.

Interesting!  Yeah, I struggle with the Goldies there.  There’s so many, you’d think competition would make them very aggressive.  But they aren’t.  They are more aggressive at other places.

Those bullheads are always willing, tho!

Definitely maybe even an understatement since I swear I saw one jump up onto the bridge and flop towards us trying to get our baits 🤣.
