Don't know what it weighs but me and another person won't be carrying it, especially with all the crap I take
riverrat Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Don't know what I was thinking, my paddle john is an 1836

I have covered storage that would be a nice home for that lol At least it is right side up. Mines laying on it's side against a pole barn. Couldn't even get a spot inside. I use the trailer during duck season to haul my layout boat BilletHead, Gavin, nomolites and 1 other 4 The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check
Gavin Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Nice bunch off ducks! @curtisceIt looks like the Voyager and the Landau are the same boat. Think .065 gauge, maybe .050. Thin, but it goes nowhere fast.

curtisce Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 I put a 2"gash in mine on the James once. Got it to the shore bailed it out. Luckily a 3" tube bait stuck in the hole and sealed it for rest of the trip. I had a guy weld it with aluminum. I/ve had other holes and I have used those sticks that solder to the aluminum and thety work well. Only need a propane torch for thoses. snagged in outlet 3 1 The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

I had a 17' 1972 Lowe paddle john with thin aluminum and had to fix leaks every other trip. This one takes a beating with no problem, but is a bit of a barge. I wouldn't trade it for one with lighter gauge aluminum.

I keep a pool noodle and gorilla underwater tape in my aluminum boat. Works great in a pinch.
