semble Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 You got me paraniod! I haven't repacked my bearings for this season yet. Had to pull the hubs today to make sure all looked good. snagged in outlet 3 1
jdmidwest Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I usually do a walk around and check the hub temps when I am pulling and get out for anything. I drag mine alot too. I take the bear buddies off each season and repack like normal, fix any leaky seals. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
fishinwrench Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Jack each wheel up, check for any side-to-side wobble, look behind the wheel hub for any signs of escaped grease, then give it a good spin. If it spins freely and smoothly without any noticable scratchy noises, then pump some grease into the bearing buddy until it won't accept any more.....and consider it good for 300-400 miles. (or in MY CASE, a whole season 😅)

Flysmallie Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I don’t ever remember doing much of anything to the last trailer we drug all over. I bet that thing had close to a hundred thousand miles on it.

Just once I'd like to drive somewhere and not see 200+ other vehicles per mile the whole way. I'd actually enjoy the drive. It's those occasional near head-ons that keep me all tensed up. Road warriors that drive so much that they get all lax and cavalier about what that yellow dotted line means. 1 minute ago, Flysmallie said: I don’t ever remember doing much of anything to the last trailer we drug all over. I've got 16 trailers in my yard right now, and I bet there isn't a single one that doesn't have an issue of some sort.
