              Lets do a morel 2021 find thread. I am sure you all are finding some. Last week the Mrs. found seven little grays in two days. She just went for a quick walk not far from the house. It is time to look a bit harder,

                  Neither are moving very fast today and at 40 tomorrow morning. I am betting Dutch you can outrun them.

I dropped Sugarbritches off at our mushroom hunting place today, and while she was foraging I did my parts running and took a trip through the car wash.   When I got back to pick her up it took both of us to load all of her findings into the truck.    

She found a whole basket full of plump shrooms, 3 baskets full of delicious strawberries, a big bag full of brussel sprouts, and amazingly she came across a patch of raspberry filled long johns that are so good you'll wanna slap yo' mama!

Where I am at in Oklahoma there has not been much rain and for me the picking has been really slow, until yesterday. Had been out several times and the first two trips found zero, then found 13, the next day 8 and then found 5 more in the afternoon. They were great, but just not enough. Battered and fry them in a little oil and a stick of butter until golden brown. Mix ranch dressing and some Ring Of Fire hot sauce as a dipping sauce. Didn't go out for another week because of there being no rain. Had the day off yesterday and free time so I went out and found 65, mostly good size. Most of them were singles just randomly found in the woods. Only a couple times did  I find more the one in the same area. We got about a 1/2 of rain last night so I will be looking at going out again in a couple days.

  We went out looking today hit four patches, two of those places did real well. Not much in the other two. 65 to 70 found. Getting big here now. Tried the new mushroom knife. It is neat. Has a brush on one end. will look again in a couple days. Inch and a half of rain yesterday. Hopefully many more to be found.
