Fished late afternoon/evening on 6-24-2021. Different place, different fish.
Caught Green Sunfish, including this big one:

...some Redear Sunfish. I just noticed the first one below has some interesting blue on its belly:

Bluegill (on the right) and..I think a redear hybrid?:

...and some largemouth bass:

None of the bass were very big. I thought the one on the left below was interesting as it had a lot of blue/green highlights along the belly, but it didn't show up well in the picture...maybe my polarized sunglasses pick it up better? And the one on the right was missing its lateral line stripe. Also, the other 3 bass have uniform colored tails, but the one on the right below has a tail that appears lighter near the base and darker along the posterior edge.

That photo should make @snagged in outlet 3 run for the restroom 🤣. Looks awesome to me though. I may have to try to convince my wife that I need to fly out to StL to fish for a day to get on some of those species that you are just beating on. We are having some issues in Columbia that may require a trip. So just maybe...

We've had rain and more in the forecast.  Its messing with the water conditions and the fishing....

Rain pounded us this morning.  More on the way.  Where I fished, the water was very muddy.  Gar found the clearest water around.

Conditions changed again. Now the creek is 12' above normal! Deeper water, muddy, fish spread out. I'm looking forward to the creek returning to normal.
Caught 2 gar.

Then visited 2 new-to-me lakes. Got skunked at one, caught a bass and bluegills at the other.

More rain after I got home, and more in the forecast.
This was cool:

Are we going to do a fish id quiz just using their eyes 🤨?
