DNR sampling!

My wife and I had the opportunity to follow the DNR sampling boats around Buzzard today. They covered the entire cove in 40 minutes. They only netted 3 small bass. The question is, have all the bigger bass moved out to the main lake?

Knowing you the big ones are being held in your live wells until the DNR leaves!!

Sampling??  Is that shocking?  They used to do that at night.

I've gone with them many times and it's always at night.

I saw them running around in the Cape fair area yesterday in the middle of the day. not sure what they were doing

DNR  would be sampling for sewage or contamination,  Ag or mining waste etc. wouldn't they?  Anything to do with fish would be MDC or AGFC, I would think.

the ones i saw definitely had those things hanging off the front for shocking

They were definitely shocking as they has the devices hanging from the front of both boats. They were moving fast and on a mission! They didn't appear to want to be bothered! ALL BUSINESS!!

Found out yesterday they were tagging and sampling flathead catfish.
