Myoutdoortv app on the Roku device streams MLF and BPT events for free, start to finish. A little tricky to navigate to within the app, but I watched a little bit Saturday and after church yesterday.

It is! Myoutdoortv has a subscription service but you can watch MLF/BPT live for free.

Dave Goddard called me last night, he just got back from Clayton, New York, right where Wheeler is catching them today. 

They fished from June 12 to June 19. Said they had so many 4 plus pound small jaws they could not even count them. 

Said you could catch 3 pound LM on top water all day. Looked like you threw a bowling ball into the pond.  No fishing pressure for bass at all. 

Fishermen were only interested in walleye, muskie, pike and salmon. 

Used the same baits he uses on the Rock, swimmers, jerk baits and Ned. 

Water was gin clear. Light line 6lb. and I'm guessing 10 on his megabass jerk bait. 

Said he had a monster jaw on that broke the hooks on the megabass. 

Said he thought this week might be even better. 

Gave me lots of great info.

Wheeler is flat smoking them, not the biggest fan of his personality but he can catch em.  11lb in the last 20 minutes.

I'm ready to make a trip haha!

I heard Jacob say he is using 12lb leader on his spinning setups. The difference in time spent fighting the fish is crazy. He just pulls a 4lber right up on tight drag and has it in the boat in 20-30 seconds. Big advantage when others are fighting fish for 2-3 minutes... Been a super fun stage to watch. Will have to put SLR on my bucket list for sure!

Wheeler is not fun fishing. You could hear others saying how fun it was. 

For Jacob it was BUSINESS. 

I'm ready to have them spool me on 5 lb Maxi.

I found it interesting that he was getting the same, actually more, bites with the 12lb leader.

those smallies are so mad on the bed it didn't seem to cause an issue

Said today he was also using 30 lb. Braid and 17 lb. Carbon leader so as to just put them in the boat. Said they would bite it if you within 4' if the bed.
