Went out of Moonshine around 7:30 with the idea of fishing shallow, per lastest reports. Worked up tp indian creek and caught a few in 7-10 ft with the jig. Moved along. Up near point 5 in 20 fow casted out with a jig and caught a nice smallie. Few cast later another , then a walleye on a football jig. Thoght we were on to it , then it died. Caught 3 smallies 2+ # and the walleye. fished for 3 more hourswithouy a bite. Came back to our honeyhole to find my released walleye floating on the surface. Picked it up but couldn't revive it so headed for the fryer. not a bad day but wish the patterns woould have held up.

Very nice. From what I heard yesterday that dam area bite started early at 6:30 with the fish shallow, 12' to 15'.

Flat water and sun by 8am moved them pretty quick to 20' to 30'.

There is a very strong thermocline at 17'-18',  to that 30' range with a ton of bait hanging in it.

Boys said all the fish they caught were totally full of crayfish. Bass, catfish and Walters were chocked full and spitting them up.

Most guys were using a 3/8 to 1/2 oz.  GP/Orange with GP trailer of choice.

Thanks for the pics and report. Been pretty slow on here.

Like Bill said, it's been very slow here. Good to see a detailed report. Thanks!
