Oh my, a house just up the road burned to the ground today...

My wife went to get the mail around 3pm and she came back saying she smelled lots of smoke. We drove up the road and there were 4 fire trucks and the police. They had water tankers dumping water into a pool structure and a pumper truck pumping the water up the hill to the house.  Looks like a total loss. Fortunately the owner was there when it started and got out. We heard a couple of explosions and the fire guys said it was probably propane tanks. Many thanks to those volunteer fire guys.

I guess the take away is.... have plenty of smoke  detectors and be darn sure they work.

A couple of pics...

Probably cooking meth !   🙄

That's what everyone says when a house catches fire around here. 😂

Well, they probably were. 🎯

For the record, it is public record the numerous times Police have been to the house for a mixed bag of criminal offenses.

I hate it for anyone to lose their house to a fire. Meth production or consumption is certainly suspected in this case.

And it's a darn good thing too.  Because without methamphetamine, houses couldn't get built, the roads and bridges couldn't get maintained, and there'd be no mail or package delivery.

Hell, I had to install a water softener and replace a water heater MYSELF just the other day..... because there obviously isn't enough meth in the community.   I was totally willing to pay someone else to do it, but couldn't find a single person with enough desire to work for a few hours.

Drug use is up all over.  Too much idle time.

Petty theft is up to all time high too.  Gotta support the habit somehow.  Watch out for your catalytic converters.

I hear stories from elsewhere about druggies and theft and how the two are related...... but we don't have that problem around here.  Gravois Mills Crackheads are the most dependable, trustworthy, and helpful people on the planet.

To the point that I truly feel that their removal from society (via law enforcement) is doing the community a disservice.      Totally serious.  They tend to live by a "code" that elevates them far above the most prestigious at the local churches, as far as I'm concerned.

We have heard rumors of such...

Sorry about the house and glad their safe.

Around here it is no longer Meth it is Fentanyl.

I had a person come to me years ago wanting me to burn a house down because they didn’t like the people. I turned them down but couple weeks later I could see it burning from my place.

I have Smoke Detectors and my wife isn’t happy because they are so sensitive but like I told her I like it giving us warning way early.

How did this country ever get built without meth anyway?
