Have some Bitcoin and some Doge. Bought it several months ago and then it took a dump right after. But I don’t really care. Did it for fun and rarely check on it anymore.

I am just going to buy 40,000 gallons of gasoline ,2,000 rolls of toilet paper and 1,000 lbs of ground beef .Those 3 things are going to double in another 8 months.

Man no kidding.   Prices for everything are going nuts.

They should mirror each other since they both track crypto right?

For the most part.  They are both futures ETFs so it all depends on how the people involved can "predict" what bitcoin is going to do.

Futures prices are decided by buying and selling though right?

They are decided by a set price someone agrees to buy or sell something at what they think the future value of that will be.

So it doesn’t track the sector like say the spyders or the qqq’s?

I think it's different than those.

I think the well established coins (ETH, BTC) are solid long term investments. All of the same rules from the stock market apply, diversify, DCAing, etc..

You could read about crypto for weeks and still not really understand it. Pretty complicated stuff that I haven't even began to understand.

Approach it with your brain (like anything else), don't dump your life savings into DOGE or SHIB or whatever happens to be coin of the week. Those are fine if you're into high risk, high reward plays, not the way to go for steady growth.

Honestly I couldn’t figure out to buy them.   So the etf seemed easier.
