I can't wait to see if my grandkids will hunt (or fish🤞) with me. My oldest went out only twice and we didn't get a chance at a shot. Since it was always near Halloween she wanted to hang out with her friends. I took out my son for two youth seasons and he would sleep through the morning hunts and didn't want to hunt in the afternoons. Neither of them have hunted deer since then. Livie is the only one of my kids to have killed a deer and a turkey.

I was never into deer hunting but my son always went fishing and bird and rabbit hunting with me.  He took up deer hunting on his own.  Gun and bow and processes his own deer.  He keeps begging me to go but I tell him I don't want to upstage him😁.  I told him I'll go when I retire.  Both daughters like to fish but they are always too busy with other things.  We all go when we are on vacation.

Have a friend who hunts the family farm half mile south of us. I remember when his grandpa took him and his brother hunting down there. Grandpa is long gone now but our friends continues to carry on taking their children. All of them and all have taken many, many good deer throughout the years. One of the boys son is married and I am sure will take his child when old enough. Hope I am still around to see this. If this happens I will have witnessed 5 generations taking their first deer.

Here is friends youngest daughter with her deer from Saturday. Congrats to Mac!

Nice dark horns!!

Just north of Deerfield MO.  Great country that I was lucky enough to grow up hunting in.  Quail back then was the real deal.  They're gone now.  There were and probably still are a lot of ponds that were good = really good bass fishing.  And in the fall/early winter the best duck hunting ever.

Another Saturday morning deer.  This is his last youth season.  This is a nice one sure enough, but last year he killed a true monster - rack and body.  Can't find that picture though, dang it.

That's an awesome deer. Congrats! I'm  impressed for sure with such a cool looking rack.

Took a long time friend and his son out and his boy got his first deer. I was supposed to take a nephew but they had bad grades so parents wouldn’t let them hunt.

Keep getting error while trying to upload pic off of phone. Will have to try later on PC.
