Frying Pan

OK, so my neighbor has talked me into going out to Colorado to fish the frying pan next year. I know it will be crowded and all, but has anyone on here fished it and if so what were your thoughts?

I have fished it, it is a beautiful stream…I have been there in the fall combined with an elk Hunt and it has not been terribly crowded but access is limited with large stretches of private access only.  I have only fished the upper areas, and there are usually some very good fish just below Reudi, but I have not been successful I landing any of those pigs.  I love that whole area, it is God’s country.

I've been many many times.  Here's a write up I did one time.  PM or call me and I can line you out.  I wouldn't limit myself to just the Pan though.

Thanks guys! That is what this forum is all about, helping your fellow fisherman. My only real concern is the time of year we would be going. I don't want to get stuck in a blizzard!

It's a real thing.  Mostly getting over the passes due to weather.  I had to come home a day early from Glenwood due to weather in September one year.  We were one of the last vehicles over the pass when they switched from 4 wheel drive only to chains only.

When is it you're going?
