ollie
OK, so my neighbor has talked me into going out to Colorado to fish the frying pan next year. I know it will be crowded and all, but has anyone on here fished it and if so what were your thoughts? dpitt and JestersHK 2 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek! nomolites
I have fished it, it is a beautiful stream…I have been there in the fall combined with an elk Hunt and it has not been terribly crowded but access is limited with large stretches of private access only. I have only fished the upper areas, and there are usually some very good fish just below Reudi, but I have not been successful I landing any of those pigs. I love that whole area, it is God’s country. Mike Johnsfolly, ollie and JestersHK

PM or call me and I can line you out. I wouldn't limit myself to just the Pan though. nomolites, ollie, Greasy B and 2 others
JestersHK
I went in 2019 and was a great trip. The Pans a nice central point for hitting a bunch of other water. I tried to recap in my thread here and if you need any more info just ping me snagged in outlet 3 and ness
ollie
Thanks guys! That is what this forum is all about, helping your fellow fisherman. My only real concern is the time of year we would be going. I don't want to get stuck in a blizzard! I had to come home a day early from Glenwood due to weather in September one year. We were one of the last vehicles over the pass when they switched from 4 wheel drive only to chains only. snagged in outlet 3
Don't miss going to the hot springs either. Iron Mountain Hot Springs is great and so is the old Glenwood Springs. Of course I went with my wife...😁 nomolites
