There is a beautiful riffle that hold zero fish there now John. . . unless you stand on one leg hop up and down and say the magic words ..... Boogoty boogoty boo! 😂 That's the same song and dance I use. Doesnt work well for me. Maybe cause I'm in the wrong creek. I'll stick to the old trusty fish call. He'er fishy fish-yyyy Johnsfolly and trythisonemv 2 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. trythisonemv Posted November 26, 2021 Author Posted November 26, 2021 Seriously though. .. Ive learned that capps can be great with twenty or more fish days and great with two or three fish days. You just have to look harder on the latter. Big rainbows hide in weird places down there. laker67 and nomolites 2
ollie Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Come one come all, meet at the lower parking lot at 9:00!!! trythisonemv 1 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
trythisonemv Posted November 28, 2021 Author Posted November 28, 2021 Beautiful day! Stream very clear. Had to walk and work for them today. laker67, nomolites and Johnsfolly 3
Buzz Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Yep. I didn't catch a lot but I caught them several different ways. One more in the books. Pretty good day. Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr, nomolites and 1 other 4 If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Not as bad as I thought it would be! Any day several people can pull out 4-5 on Capps isn't that bad. Buzz ended up winning it all this year with 5 trout. I had 4 and of course lost the fifth one right before noon when we called it! I know trythisonemv caught 2 during the time frame, but I thought he told me he had caught 2 or three before we even showed up at nine so we will call him the unofficial winner! lol  I ended up with 2 bows, 2 browns, a google eye and enough chubs to make up for anyone not catching trout! I couldn't keep the dang things off my jigs or lures. Just the spot I was in because I didn't catch any after I left that spot. I think trythisonemv probably had the biggest one this time around as well. Beautiful day to be on the water and I had fun. I know I had to keep switching colors to find something that would work and I think Buzz did as well. Another one for the books this year. Congrats to @Buzz, @trythisonemv, and @ollie for a successful day fishing a tough spot when it's well past stocking! I may never make an Ollie Fest, but I hope that you guys keep it going for as long as possible. Traditions are worth keeping, especially fishing ones 😉. trythisonemv, Buzz, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 4
trythisonemv Posted November 29, 2021 Author Posted November 29, 2021 Caught a few missed a lot. I chucked big streamers all day. . . committed and was surprised by the result. Three during official hours lol but two outside of that. Always fun and listening to buzz and Ollie stories is worth drive in and if itself 😆 Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr and ollie 3
