bobby b. Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 Been out 7-10 am last couple mornings - WT - 55 deg to start - fish can be found in 40 - 50 fow in the mouths of the bigger creeks, sometimes hugging the bottom, sometimes suspended 1/2 way up in the water column - casting to a target using the LiveScope works best but vertical can work as well - using tiny fluke on 1/4 oz head or heavier and a 2.8 kitech on a 3/8 head. I bet I can only bring one to the boat for very 6 that bit but will not hold on or maybe I am doing something wrong. Being a retired engineer, I like messing with the equipment which could be a reason for not staying connected with the fish. I annotated one of my pics thinking ya all may enjoy it. All fish caught in the last days were keeper Spots and SM. Really nice mornings for sure to be out on TR.en-cache://tokenKey%3D%22AuthToken%3AUser%3A32954183%22+172d4dc7-955e-9e46-ba4a-c1850916ff59+04f3284ec3ff67bd767e086bfadf0387+https://www.evernote.com/shard/s250/res/871969bc-3021-a861-9dcd-667b60a313a0 Bobby SplitG2, Dock-in-it, cheesemaster and 9 others 12
Quillback Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 Nice fish! I have found that sometimes those deep fish will be hard to hook and other times you'll get nine out of ten bites in the boat.
m&m Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Those new electronics have really changed fishing strategies. I’m still in the Champ camp regarding skinny water fishing. Maybe not as successful but there is something about casting to a lay down and pulling a fish out. IMHO. Mike Flysmallie 1
waterpossum Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Are you having to deflate the bladder on these deep fish. It seems I see a lot of reports about deep water fish on TR.

Appeared they were deep-caught fish that weren't properly cared for.
bobby b. Posted December 1, 2021 Author Posted December 1, 2021 I recall a lengthy discussion on this website with the take-away being that if you immediately release the fish, nothing else was needed. Am I wrong?

Am I wrong? you are 100% correct. If they go right back in the water, they will be just fine.
Bill Babler Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 Nice pictures Bob. Great job. I have no new spinning rods right now. Sorry. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

That kind of money brings out the worst in people. Credit to the organization as they were caught thru lie detector. Also rumors out there that there may have been some major hanky panky on the qualifer on Bull Shoals that was not detected. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
