skeeter Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 How about 6.45 inches on my Vantage Vue weather station at Baxter ! That was in a little less than 24 hours beginning yesterday morning about sunrise. Good old fashioned Ozark Frog Strangler that surely cleared the leaves out of the gulleys. ! magicwormman 1
Quillback Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 The lake was just getting down to where I like it for winter fishing. cheesemaster, magicwormman and crazy4fishin 3
magicwormman Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 It's a good thing they have drawn it down recently! I heard the reason was to draw Beaver down to work on the dam. That plan might be on hold for awhile!

We were at the farm in Hurley yesterday evening and had water running across the hay field in some places but I don’t know what the totals were.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 18, 2021 Root Admin Posted December 18, 2021 Forecast showed it would stay south of us... they missed again. We're a target - the whole White River Basin.

Champ188 Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Fished Roaring River on Saturday. Water was brown in areas but flushing out and clearer towards the back. Very, very tough for us. Managed two fish in 6 hours and had to leave the dirty water to get them. No debris to speak of ... maybe saw one floating log. Dumb strategy on my part, I guess, but on the other hand I've had some incredible numbers/size trips fishing runoffs after heavy December rains. cheesemaster and Johnsfolly 2

I would've done the same thing, looked for some run off and fished it. Did you launch at a COE ramp? Curious if the docks have been adjusted for the high water.
Champ188 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Launched at Eagle Rock and the dock had not been adjusted. Had Donna pull up and pick me up on the ramp. God bless keel protectors. Quillback 1
Quillback Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Did Vernon have anything to do with the deluge? Seems he got active on the forum about the same time it happened. Coincidence? magicwormman and m&m 1 1
