With MDC Newer Law my wife’s little.380 would be legal to hunt Deer with.

You can already use 0.410 slugs to hunt deer. I wonder if the pressure to use handguns even smaller caliber is more from a recovery standpoint if you come upon your wounded deer.

You’d have to be really really close or really really good to use it.

I keep a Walther P 22 close for those duties.

I’ve used .22 to put down a Butcher Beef but wouldn’t use one Elk hunting.

They can shoot them with whatever they want as I’m concerned.  There’s plenty of them and it’s not like they have any money invested in raising them.

Any centerfire works with the law.  22lr is rimfire, thats a no go for deer.

Federal has a new Punch 22 for self defense, I have been buying rounds to see how it works.  Designed for performance out of a short barrel pistol, which I have several.  For light duty carry, I have a Ruger LCP 22, it does not even sag a pair of swim trunks.  Normally stoked with CCI Stingers.
