Line management is why I have a separate boat built for flyfishing.   I can't flyfish out of my bassboat, too many seats, cleats, foot controls, ect. that wanna grab line all the time.

Trolling motor pedal alone is bad enough

My left foot is more of a hang up than it should be, I've cut a couple lines by stepping on them.

Yep.   Here is a current project.   This one will make a fine flyfishing rig. 👍

It wouldn't be so bad if I was on a lake but on the river in current it's tough to fly fish and keep the boat in position.

A buddy of mine bought some flys through Fly Depot, and I really expected them to be literal JUNK.    But when he got them I was blown away......Kelly Galloup himself couldn't tie better Zoo Cougars.   On good hooks to boot.

There's no way that I'd tie a dozen Zoo Cougars for under 8.00

@fishinwrench, is Fly Depot an online store?  I searched for it, and nothing came up. 🤷‍♂️

Obviously but the pedal and cable are still there.

If makes any difference I use hand held device around neck. On my model foot control optional. I realize yours is cable control.

I could stand in the middle of the boat on the floor and use the FOB but like I said.  Catching them on a fly rod isn't the be all, end all for me.  I actually think day in day out the strikes are better on gear.  Not every time but more often.
