Water temp was 44.6 at 7:00am, water was brown with debris floating all over.  Could only see about 6 inches. I threw a black rock crawler for a while and caught 3 with 2 keepers.  Then I threw a white spinnerbait with a white tube. I caught 6 more with 2 being keepers.  Big fish of the day was 3.15.  Water was 45.6 when I left at 12:30.

Nice day.  Too windy for me today.  Where is the jerk bait?

I threw it for a little while but the water was  so cloudy that I don’t think they could see it. When I was by Virgin Bluff the water clarity was only about 3 or 4 inches.

Most jerkbaits have rattles so the fish dont have to see it well to find it .My biggest  small mouth was caught on a jerkbait  in muddy water like you described.  Have caught many many bass on jerkbaits in muddy water. Pearl white ,chartreuse shad when it's sunny, black and silver, clown with clouds. Transition banks ,there are many kinds of transition  banks so experiment with types  of rocks to find the most productive. In coves or main lake

Secondary points are another location .

44-52° water. It's not a deep bite either and they will be closer to the bank in 10' or less.

I guess I will have to try it a little long next time. I was throwing a pearl white in the same areas I caught the other fish in - with out a nibble.

Try casting parallel to the bank too keeping the lure in 2-8' the whole time

That’s my go to strategy 75% of the time.👍🏻
I don’t venture to far off shore - I like real skinny water too. 👍🏻
