willyfish Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Curious to know what guys are using for replacing trebles on cranks and top waters like a spook or sexy dawg. Hook size and what hooks are the sharpest in your opinion.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Sexy dog is my go to walking bait. I use #6 on my front 2 hooks and a #5 on the back, it makes it walk much better. Gamakatsu round bends, or the Berkeley Fusions are my favorites
Champ188 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Since the Daiichi Death Traps have gotten so hard to find, I've been using the Mustad KVD Elite Triple Grip trebles. No complaints. dtrs5kprs 1
rps Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Gamakatsu G Finesse trebles are the best substitute I have found for Daichi Death Traps. Size of trebles depends on what size WTD bait you are working. magicwormman and mixermarkb 2

1farmer Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 I have become a fan of the Hayabusa TBL 930 treble hooks. My treble hook box has G finesse, hayabusa , and owner st36. The percentage of hayabusa keeps rising. rps 1

aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 I tried those Hayabusa's last year and was less than impressed, they just didnt seem sticky at all. If i dont get stuck at least few times while changing hooks out they just are not sharp enough for me. Tackle warehouse shows Daiitchi Death traps, ive always been a fan of those too https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiichi_Death_Trap_Round_Treble_Hook_5pk/descpage-DAIDTHK.html vernon 1
