Ryan Miloshewski Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 This evening was great. Caught them very well on a scud on a fly rod from Lookout to Short Creek. Caught one rainbow in the shallow part of the Lookout channel that was probably 22-inches. Didn't measure it or get a pic, but it was a stud. It fought me really hard on 6x. Caught the heck out of the browns on a jerkbait once the sun went down. Lost one that was really nice. I fear I'm really good at losing big fish instead of landing them.. laker67, nomolites and JestersHK 3 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
Ryan Miloshewski Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Back home for a few days. Fishing with my buddy Brian in Kansas tomorrow for wipers, crappie and walleye/sauger. Back down to fish for a while again on Sunday. Hank and I had a great couple of days. The weather was beautiful and accomplished some fishing goals. @dpitt I just put two and two together ha..that was me that texted you yesterday. Also, got this nifty new Ozark Anglers hat at Phil's. It's a Richardson, too...fancy! nomolites, JestersHK, Johnsfolly and 2 others 5 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
dpitt Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 @Ryan Miloshewski Saw your reports, was looking for you out Tuesday, but had not connected your text with Brad, K and K and this forum until now. Let's hit Clinton sometime. I fish out of a Towee up here in KC. Ryan Miloshewski 1

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 18, 2022 Root Admin Posted March 18, 2022 I got a good report this evening and relayed to Blake just as he left the dock to do OC. White jigs at the dam. If you've been watching, I've wore out white at the dam after several white reports. When I say white, sub out shad from now on. A guy said they caught them most of the day on white, most were "footballs" which is usually the case when they're eating shad. Blake did ok up there but did better BELOW Fall Creek on white. Stupid trout. BilletHead and dpitt 2
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 18, 2022 Root Admin Posted March 18, 2022 Back out this am. 4 full units. Water dropped to 43.5. Bites this time with one nice fat rainbow below the ramp. I'm going to keep plugging... I know they've seen shad. These fish just aren't biting all the time. BilletHead 1

Ryan Miloshewski Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 They've definitely seen shad. Has to be happening randomly. Monday they were all over the white streamer (relatively speaking), Tuesday morning they were not. Tuesday evening caught 6 browns in one drift on a jerkabit. And like I said, I'm pretty sure Blake and I saw two stunned shad on Monday afternoon. I'm sure they didn't last long. “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
