grizwilson Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Fished Pomme past three days, best day 10 fish, not getting back into where I assume they are spawning, as the brush is so thick. What I have caught have been suspended in about 30 fow 15-25 foot deep, near, not on brush piles. Seeing schools of fish, just following shad, catch two, then it is over. And the occasional school of white bass. Fishing down in the Dam area. Not sure what to try this evening or tomorrow, only have another week to figure it out, then off to the River... MOPanfisher Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I wish I could give some exact spots but Don have any right now. Brad at I am outdoors have a video posted to the Pomme de Terre Lake Fishing or somethingike that, Facebook page that might give some good advice. I am headed to LOZ to accept a challenge from a couple if retired bosses. I have made my brag about how I will beat both of them put together so I expect to post a goose egg tonight! grizwilson and Terrierman 1 1
MOPanfisher Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I will say it may seem a bit early but trolling crakbaits through those suspended fish can put fishing the boat in a hurry at times. I suck at it, so don't know a lot about it. grizwilson and Heretolearn 2

Only fished Pomme once for musky. We didn't catch one on that day, but we had some encounters. One was well over 40 inches. It shot out from a deep brush pile and looked like it wanted to eat the 20 inch musky that chased out from under a dock towards my bait.
jdmidwest Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 My buddy refused to fish Pomme, Musky kept cutting off his plugs. I have been there the last 2 years now in the fall and love it. The fish of a thousand casts in the first 100 yards from the ramp. I love the trees "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
MOPanfisher Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Musky and I have a love/hate relationship. They apparently love my crankbaits and I hate their guts for it. Ranger520vx and grizwilson 2

The white bass appear to be back, they are a mess on the spider rigs. Seems the lake is dropping about 6" a day. We will be at Dam Site #36 until Thursday 19th then off to the river a few days.
