While true, I feel like it would be harder to cheat when you've got somebody looking fish over up close and weighing them in front of everybody else on the same set of scales. Worst thing I can think of is prefishing and moving fish to one area. Tournaments alone do that well enough since the fish all get dumped at the ramp anyways.

Check the other lakes, the number of regatta permits for bass tournaments is just as rediculous....if not moreso.

They took home over $10,000 for 1st place.

Thats 2X winning a BFL and is a team tournament.

Pair it with a co angler to keep both honest and it seems like a good start to me.

Scales were brought in for calibration each day of the tournament.

After getting my flutter spoon lesson a few weeks ago I spent +60.00 on spoons.....and haven't been able to get a spoon bite going since.  

Day before yesterday I got on a good shallow bass bite and had four over 3lbs. and 7 keepers total in 4 hours before I ran out of logs to throw at.   Went out the very next day and do you think I was able to pull it off again in a different creek?   Noway!   But I did locate a school of whites and mutts that saved the day. 

 

 

Went out again in the sauna this evening until dark, with the fly gear.......Miserable!  2 dinks and one decent White.  

2 really good days, back to back, seems impossible to pull off lately. It seems like a pattern is only good for about 12-16 hours.

 

Is that 2nd fish a white, hybrid, or striper?  No broken lines and more of a torpedo shape makes it look more like a striper.
