fishinwrench Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 My occupation is among a dying breed. Dealerships only get a piddly amount from the manufacturer for "warranty work" , so SALES is their only incentive. They ain't fixing nothin'......but bygod they'll sell you a new one. They aren't going to have reasonably experienced & trained technicians on site......and only pay them 15.-20./hr. 20.00/hr. gets you a crackhead with a socket set in the trunk of his girlfriends Camry. And there's nowhere to get training on older motors now. If you're recently "certified" then you're only "certified" on what came out LAST YEAR. 😅 There's nobody in Fon du Lac teaching carburetion and early oil injection. I unintentionally timed this gig perfectly! Because I'm the ONLY dude in my entire area of the state that will professionally repair all those 70's-80's-90's and 2000 to 2008 outboards. And there's a bunch of them still out there. I keep expecting it to start dwindling down, and for those motors to finally die......but they just keep a comin'. 😎👍 fshndoug, Jerry Rapp, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4
oneshot Posted July 8, 2022 Author Posted July 8, 2022 Most the problems anymore is gas related. But a person pulls his head out of his back side can figure it out. My trouble is firing but take my time I can figure it out. oneshot
oneshot Posted July 8, 2022 Author Posted July 8, 2022 Was surprised yesterday went to a restaurant that was only drive through. Yesterday dine in and had smorgasbord. One place in town I like to eat. One other place dine in but only off the menu. oneshot
