Hey guys , I’ve been trying to research my best options for a northern smallmouth vacation . I have a 19 ft bass boat that I will be pulling along . First question is what state should I target ? I think it would be nice to have several lake options if the wind picked up and I wasn’t able to be on the big water up there . Let me hear some suggestions on where to go or even where to avoid . Thanks

Always wanted to try Mille Lacs or Sturgeon Bay.  I believe both those areas have some smaller inland lakes around that you could fish if the big water was too rough.

I’ve always heard that you can’t beat Lake Erie.

New York!

After watching the Bassmaster Elite derby on the St.Lawrence river.....That should be EVERYONE'S destination.

Holy Crap, I had no idea !

That’s why I’m asking haha ! Unreal !!! But that’s about 17 hr drive . I’m trying to find something more straight north of us

Camp Quetico in Atikokan, CA. Reasonable rates, you won’t need to tow a boat up. Abuse their boats on that pink granite.  Portable fish finder would be helpful. Every boat comes with a fish fryer and a gallon of cooking oil.

My buddies are headed to a lodge in Ontario in a couple weeks.  Room, boats and meals for week.  I’d like to do one of those smallie trips too.
