Cold front

Evenings like that makes me wish winter was on its way.

Launched at Cedar Ridge like normal. There was 1 other truck in the lot when i launched. Guess he doesn’t understand the meaning of stay home on days like this, either.

Started out just around the bend, fishing every column of the 245 bridge. Had 3 12” in bass hooked, and lost every one at the boat. Hooked them on a drop shot. I did pitch a flutter spoon on a few columns but no luck.

Kept the trolling motor down and fished the south bank back to the swim beach throwing a Choppo. Had 5 blowups and didn’t stick one of them.

I did see a pretty cool sight for this time of year. Saw this 4 pounder sitting on a rock in less than 2’ of water. I tossed a Ned around it a few times and it just flared its gills at it. It finally swam off when i pulled it over its back.

Beautiful, hot, windless evening on the water, but as they say, you can’t  get pictures like these on the couch.

This lake has always had a good hot weather topwater bite. A chug bug around that big rock around the corner was always a must.
