depending on chemistry the difference in a agm vs lipo vs lifepo isn't enough imo to justify the cost.  way different on trolling motor batteries.

The odyssey is 200 the lithum is 300......

spend the money ya cheapskate!!! haha.

Was not clear, the dual purpose Dakota 60 ah is 600, the 100 ah straight lithium is 300.  Of course if go to lithium need new onboard charger, but pretty sure my TM batteries are going there as soon as these fail.  I may just order the lithiums for TM and give it a go  if works ok, if not use one of the deep cycle for starter til it fails.  Thanks for your helps. We need to fish sometime, IF it ever cools off.

with a lithium you just need a charger that outputs voltage all the time.  the battery has internal circuitry that will keep it full.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

I don't no much about lithium batteries.  But I have read a lot of forums that talk about lithium batteries because of a jon boat I am trying to build up.  Anyway this company keeps popping up in discussions.  They even have Bluetooth monitoring on them.  From what I hear they are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions.

Thanks, I did look at those, but twice the price pushes me away, but not bluetooth monitoring.

Those specs wont start an ourboart.  The max current is only 200 amps.  It may start the motor once or twice but not reliably.

Theren lies the problem.   Diodes are inherently delicate, and when one fails in a lithium battery of that size you can have a nasty meltdown.

Pro-lithium guys are always quick to blame these meltdowns on improper use, improper charging, and blah-blah-blah.....but the cold hard fact that I, as a marine mechanic, know for sure......is that darn few boat owners do things "PROPERLY".   And that fact is highly unlikely to change.
