dan hufferd Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Got a late start, I'm an hour and a half from the water. Anyway got the boat in by 8am, walleye and gills were my target, jigged a spoon, had some interest but no takers. I usually don't fish the gravel much, but I did find 3 short walleye 17 1/2, and 3 gills before 10am. All came off gravel run outs with steep drop offs. Bottom bouncers and jig and crawler. It was super hot by 10am so the wife and I drove the boat around a bit to blow the cobwebs out, it's been over a year since I have been in the boat ! Anyway maybe I will get back out in October. I'm happy I still remember how to find them, and I didn't get skunked. Quillback, cheesemaster, MarkG52 and 7 others 10
Quillback Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Nice gill, that is what I will be looking for next time out. MoCarp and dan hufferd 2

Now that I think about it I haven't seen you posting much. Glad to see you back. Always go to hear from someone who can catch them at Stockton. The same habit and habitat seem to apply in tablerock there are just about 10 feet deeper many time. Stockton was a good teacher and of course all the kind folks on this forum.
