MrGiggles Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 The bite is still pretty good. Went Sunday 7/31 and had 10 shorts, no keepers. Couple that were really close but most around 12-13". Went this afternoon again, 5 shorts one keeper that went about 18". Almost all on jigging raps but a couple on bottom bouncers. Water has been around 84-85*. nomolites, Johnsfolly, Old dog 417 and 2 others 5 -Austin
Johnsfolly Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 @MrGiggleslooked like persistence paid off for you. Congrats on that keeper walleye! MrGiggles 1
Members lmt-outfitters Posted August 11, 2022 Members Posted August 11, 2022 Good job. Keepers have been tougher to come by lately. Great job on hanging in there. MrGiggles 1
Members Zac Seale Posted August 12, 2022 Members Posted August 12, 2022 Are you getting them on the flats? We fished the mouth of Maze creek for a little while last weekend and only managed some bluegill and a few drum.

I have been doing a lot better on points but I'm sure they're still on the flats at times. If you were by Maze, I'd motor across the lake to the points on the north bank, especially the one closest to master's island. I think it's an old road bed and there's a lot of rubble and brush along it. Bassin4fun and wtr dogs 2 -Austin
