If you want to see the colors around here, go today.  The freeze turned everything at once and with the incoming rain it won't last long.

Drove to Jefferson City yesterday and back to Ozark today.  It's spectacular right now.  We've got all the ingredients, trees had plenty of moisture early, they're dry now, had a hard freeze and it's early enough very few have already gone to brown.  As pretty of a year here as I have seen in a long time.

I came home from work, loaded up my wife and took a turn around the lake.  No sun so didn't get the really vibrant color pop but was afraid it wouldn't last until sun came back.  Lots of good color, definitely the best in many years.
