kjackson Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Thinking about dropping a dime or two on a new-to-me boat. I figure I can drive to the lake and cruise around until I find fish . Plan on asking Wrench's advice on adding a livewell and casting deck... What do you think? Johnsfolly, Carl1969, BilletHead and 4 others 4 3

BilletHead Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I think you should christen it with the name flying fish. Excellent choice for using on Lake of the Ozarks. Skip over the waves created by the big boats like the salty flying fish. Carl1969 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Love it! No idea whether it's functional, but I bet it's fun. Sure would suck to nose it in on a water landing, though. Johnsfolly 1

kjackson Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 Well, in full disclosure, I don't own it. I saw it at a local fly-in and thought it would make an interesting topic. I talked to the owner a bit, and my wife wrote an article for the local paper. While it will take off and land on land, it will also do the same from water. You tow it to a launch ramp, set it up and drop it in the lake. I can see that tying up the ramp for a long, long time... The guy who owns it takes folks for hour-long rides over Truman Lake and in the area. I may go up with him at some point, and if I do, you'll get some pictures. bfishn, Daryk Campbell Sr, BilletHead and 2 others 5

They would be good for offshore type fishing as you get a good view of the water and decide where to drop in and fish.
